ARKEL US customer Product Availability and delivery Changes due to U.S. Tariffs and ''de minimis'' exemption modification.

Important update regarding several products in our lineup and delivery service.

August 28th - Update - USA customer Shipping delay

Like many postal services and companies worldwide, ARKEL pauses USA shipments for a few a week to adjust to the ‘’de minimis’’ exemption being removed on August 29th . UPS will be processing Arkel customers shipments after this pause.

Due to recent changes in U.S. trade policy, significant tariffs have been imposed on imported goods manufactured in certain Asian countries and aluminium products. Add to these duties, the de minimis exemption being removed on August 29th, US custom and brokerage services fees for these products entry which make products more expensive for US customers.

Overall, these new import duties & fees have made it financially unsustainable for us to continue offering these specific products in the U.S. market.

As a result, we’ve made the difficult decision to temporarily withdraw these items from our US website while we assess longer-term solutions. Some of our U.S. dealers may still have these products in stock, so please check our U.S. bike shop list if you are looking for one of these Arkel products.

We know these products are trusted by many riders for years and this decision was not made lightly. However, in staying true to our values of fairness and transparency, we believe it’s important to inform our customers of price inflation due to trade barriers beyond our control.

We continue to offer a wide range of Canadian-made bags, all designed and crafted in our Canadian facility with USA made fabrics. Please continue to support us in buying these products.

Currently, these Canadian made products remain unaffected by the recent tariff changes and reflect our commitment to local manufacturing, durability, and sustainability.

Also, note that your total at checkout is all-inclusive. In other words, you will never be surprised by additional customs duties and taxes at the time of delivery.
