FAQs

The Water Resistant Frame Bag uses ripstop nylon with DWR coating (protects against light-moderate rain and splashes) while the Waterproof Frame Bag uses X-Pac with waterproof zippers (fully submersion-proof). This version costs less and works great for most riding conditions. Choose waterproof if you're doing multi-day expeditions in unpredictable weather or need to protect sensitive electronics.

Be sure to check the size templates in the technical specs section. Measure your frame's main triangle: length along the top tube from seat tube to head tube, and height from bottom bracket up to the midpoint of that top tube measurement. Small/medium/large size charts are based on these dimensions. Leave clearance for bottle cages if you're keeping them, and check that your knees won't hit the bag while pedalling (especially important on bikes with steep seat tube angles).

Frame bags work best on hardtail or rigid bikes. On full-suspension frames, measure carefully between your top tube and rear shock linkage‚Äîmany modern full-suspension designs have limited triangle space. You may need a smaller size or find that a top tube bag works better. Some riders use frame bags on full-suspension bikes but placement and sizing requires careful checking.

To determine the best size for your bike frame:
1. Print the templates (links below) to determine which size best fits your frame.

2. These templates are exactly the size of the bags and can be cut and fitted inside your frame to determine the fit.

3. These bags are designed to be stretched tight inside your frame at each of the 3 attachment points. If the bag can't be stretched tight, operating the zipper will be difficult. When in doubt, choose the smaller size.
