FAQs

While the Dolphin 24L can physically mount on front racks, we recommend them primarily for rear use due to their larger size (24L per bag). The weight and volume work best on rear racks for balanced handling. For front loading, consider the Dolphin 16L, which is specifically designed for front or rear use and provides better front-end handling with its moderate capacity.

The Dolphin 24L offers 50% more capacity per bag (24L vs 16L), making it ideal for longer tours requiring more gear, clothing, and supplies. Both share the same waterproof construction and 2024 updated pocket design. Choose 16L for minimalist touring, credit-card touring, or front rack use. Choose 24L for extended expeditions, cold-weather touring with bulky gear, or when you need maximum rear pannier capacity.

For fully loaded touring, pair Dolphin 16L on your front rack (32L total) with Dolphin 24L on your rear rack (48L total) for a complete 80L system. This front/rear combination provides excellent weight distribution, keeps your bike balanced and stable, and offers organized storage for extended adventures. The complete kit handles everything from lightweight summer touring to winter expeditions with bulky gear.
